Description
Rayodin Mouthwash and Gargle is a preparation of Povidone Iodine which possesses Antibacterial, Antifungal & Antiviral features, used for the treatment of acute infections of the lining of the mouth and throat, for example, inflammation of the gums (gingivitis) and mouth ulcers. For cleansing the mouth (oral hygiene) before, during and after dental and mouth surgery.
Dosage and Administration :
Adults, the elderly and children over 6 years of age :
Use undiluted with an equal volume of warm water. Gargle or rinse with up to 10 ml of Rayodin Mouthwash and Gargle for up to 30 seconds without swallowing. Repeat up to four times daily, for up to 14 days in a row, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use for more than 14 days .
BEFORE YOU USE RAYODIN MOUTHWASH AND GARGLE :
Do not use Rayodin Mouthwash and Gargle :
. if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to povidone iodine or any of the excipients .
. if you currently have or have ever had a thyroid problem, as Povidone Iodine might affect the function of your thyroid .
. if you are currently having lithium therapy for depression as it might interact with Rayodin and affect the function of your thyroid.
. on children under 6 years of age .
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Rayodin Mouthwash and Gargle :
. if your skin is broken (for example, due to a burn) as it might be absorbed into your blood and increase toxic levels of iodine .
. if you currently have or have ever had a kidney problem as it might be absorbed into your blood and increase toxic levels of iodine .
